Local Natural History Clubs, Trusts
and Groups
One
of the great strengths of the global environmental community
is that so much important natural history and conservation
fieldwork is carried out by small, localised clubs, groups
and trusts. So wherever your organisation is in the world,
we would like to hear from you!
Habitat & Species Conservation
Charities
We
are particularly keen to see conservation charities join Xchange
- from those that work to protect endangered species to organisations
that focus on families of animals and plants, or on threatened
ecosystems like tropical forests and wetlands.
Scientific Societies
Societies
devoted to the study of fauna and flora have been the backbone
of natural history for hundreds of years, and many continue
to do much vital work. Participating in NHBS Xchange could
help scientific societies to acquire members as well as promote
current activities.
International and National NGOs
We
already work closely with a number of major NGOs, but would
like to collaborate with many more.
Higher Education & Government
NHBS
Xchange is ideal for the plethora of specialised institutes
and agencies in universities, colleges and government who
need a way to raise their profile.
Aquaria, Botanic Gardens, Museums
& Zoos
Aquaria,
botanic gardens, museums and zoos are biodiversity treasure
troves that play a crucial role in protecting and understanding
the natural world. But this is poorly understood in the public
arena. Joining NHBS Xchange offers 'collections institutions'
a valuable way of publicising their activity.
Wildlife & Conservation Field
Equipment
Binoculars,
telescopes, cameras, nesting boxes, bat boxes, hides, bat
detectors, GPS, outdoor clothing/gear - if you produce or
sell field equipment for naturalists and conservationists
then we would be delighted to receive your application to
join NHBS Xchange.
Ethical
Consumer Goods
Organic
foods, biodiversity-friendly goods, home products, ethical
investments, magazines/information resources - if you offer
products and services that people with a very high committment
to biodiversity conservation and sustainable development would
be interested in, contact us!
Wildlife/Eco Travel
If
you run wildlife/ecotravel tours to any destination in the
world, we would like to hear from you - whatever the size
of your operation.
Magazines & Newsletters
We
would be glad to hear from anyone involved in publishing or
editing a wildlife or environment magazine/newsletter - NHBS
Xchange is an ideal platform for reaching a dedicated audience.
Environmental News & Information
If
you have a news or information resource that you would like
to share with nhbs.com customers, get in touch! Despite the
terabytes of data floating around the internet, there is still
a terrible dearth of reliable environmental news and data,
particularly on habitats and species.
