GEOLOGICAL SOCIETY - GEOSCIENTIST MAGAZINE, REVIEWS

The Geological Society of London (1807) is the UK national society
for geoscience. It is a learned and professional body, and a
registered charity. It exists to promote the geosciences and the
professional interests of UK geoscientists.
The Society has over 9000 members and is the largest national
geoscience society in Europe. There are several categories of
membership, each appropriate to the various stages of a
geoscientist's career from student to retirement. The Society
exists to provide the working geoscientist with lifelong
continuity, offering scientific and professional advice and
support at all stages.

GSOC AIMS
- To improve knowledge and understanding of the history,
structure, constitution and dynamics of the Earth
- To promote education, awareness and understanding of the Earth
and practical applications for the benefit of the public
- To promoting professional excellence and ethical standards in
the Earth Sciences for the public good
