From lions to groundshrews, giraffes to warthogs, leopards to
meerkats and from savannas to tropical forests, the African
Conservation Foundation helps to conserve and protect the
indigenous species and habitats of this continent. As a network
and support organisation, ACF assists conservation projects by
providing equipment, training, research and communication
technologies, as well as other urgently required resources for
wildlife research and conservation.
ACF's activities on the ground encompass biodiversity assessments,
wildlife conservation and monitoring, scientific research,
community-based natural resource management, environmental
education, and spatial analysis of natural and human aspects of
conservation. Since its inception in 1999, ACF has provided direct
support, training and capacity building to 17 conservation
projects in 8 African countries.
In addition, through the efforts of ACF, many students and
volunteers have been placed with conservation initiatives around

ACF AIMS
- To support and link African conservation initiatives, groups
and NGOs, with the aim of strengthening their capacity, building
partnerships and promoting effective communication and
co-ordination of conservation efforts.
