AFRICAN CONSERVATION FOUNDATION

From lions to groundshrews, giraffes to warthogs, leopards to meerkats and from savannas to tropical forests, the African Conservation Foundation helps to conserve and protect the indigenous species and habitats of this continent. As a network and support organisation, ACF assists conservation projects by providing equipment, training, research and communication technologies, as well as other urgently required resources for wildlife research and conservation. ACF's activities on the ground encompass biodiversity assessments, wildlife conservation and monitoring, scientific research, community-based natural resource management, environmental education, and spatial analysis of natural and human aspects of conservation. Since its inception in 1999, ACF has provided direct support, training and capacity building to 17 conservation projects in 8 African countries. In addition, through the efforts of ACF, many students and volunteers have been placed with conservation initiatives around
