The BHS is the oldest and largest UK Herpetological Society.
Founded in 1947 by the country's leading herpetologists, the
Society still enjoys its national learned status and celebrated
its 50th Anniversary in 1997. The interests of its members are
catered for by a range of specialist committees. Whatever your
age, whether you are a scientist, a conservationist, a field
naturalist, or if you are interested in reptile and amphibian
husbandry, the Society has something to offer.
