In 1947, the American Institute of Biological Sciences was
federally chartered as a non-profit scientific organization to
advance research and education in the biological sciences. More
than 6,000 individuals now belong to AIBS. Each member is eligible
for a variety of fantastic membership benefits, ranging from
outreach programs, publisher's discounts, and annual meetings, to
our award-winning magazine, BioScience.
