Welcome to the November/December Monthly Catalogue, the most comprehensive
buyer's guide to new and forthcoming titles in natural history, conservation
and the environment.
2008 at NHBS Visit the NHBS blog to see the list of our Top Titles of 2008. 2008 has been a busy year for NHBS. We added a full range of equipment to our catalogue, with bat detectors and field kit proving the most popular. We switched our IT systems in the summer, and spent a considerable amount of effort and programming time to adjust the new system to the realities of bookselling. We are already seeing great benefits in the processing time of your orders, and we will soon be able to allow you to log into your account online. Other improvements will follow throughout 2009. Sue Towers, who has been indispensable in our customer services department for almost 20 years, has retired this autumn - Sue has been answering the NHBS phone these many years, and has seen all the changes NHBS has gone through. Sue has moved to Lincolnshire to be closer to her family and her three granddaughters, and is greatly missed by us all! New NHBS Subject Catalogue: Botany We launched a new subject catalogue in November: The NHBS Botany Catalogue presents a round-up of new and bestselling titles in botany. Coming Soon: Backlist Bargains 2009 Our popular annual sale of major publishers' backlist titles will be back this year, running from mid-January to the end of March. As in previous years, we will offer thousands of titles with great discounts. Many books will only have a few copies available, so it's usually a good idea to order early. Services for libraries and organisations NHBS provides a comprehensive service to libraries and organisational buyers: Secure international delivery with flexible returns Competitive discounting with multi-currency invoicing on credit accounts Standing orders and series management Title research service for any book in print in any language Personal and responsive customer service from our experienced team The NHBS Team View this Monthly Catalogue as a web page or save/print it as a .pdf document. |
